HELP

Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, in the app or on the website. It happens at once, and it can’t be undone.

In the app

  1. Open Account. A homeowner taps the person icon at the top of Home. A pro taps Account in the bar at the bottom.
  2. Go to the end of the page and press Delete my account. On a pro’s page it reads Delete your account.
  3. Read what goes and what stays, then press Delete my account.

On the website

  1. Sign in and open Account.
  2. Go to the end of the page and press Delete my account.
  3. Read what goes and what stays, then press Delete my account again.

If you’re a homeowner

Your requests, chats and saved things go. Reviews you left stay, under your first name.

Your sign-in, your profile, your requests, your chats and everything you saved all go. A review you left stays on the pro’s page under your first name and the town of the job, never your surname or your address. The pro keeps the booking as their record, under your first name and with no way to reach you. A booking that hasn’t ended is called off, and the pro is told.

If you’re a pro

Your storefront comes down, and your photos and projects go. Homeowners keep their messages, bookings and reviews with you, under your business name.

Your sign-in, your profile and your storefront all go. In a homeowner’s chat with you, what you wrote and the photos you sent stay, because that chat is hers too. Reviews of your work stay with her, under your business name.

Backups

We keep copies of the database so we can recover from a failure. Your details can stay in those copies for up to 90 days after you delete your account, and then they’re gone.

If you can’t sign in

Use Forgot password to get back in, then delete your account yourself. If that doesn’t work, email privacy@werkza.com from the address on your account.
