Privacy policy
What we collect
Account basics (name, email or phone), what you post (the messages and photos you share), what you review, and standard server logs (IP, user-agent) needed to run the service. Pros also provide business details, service areas, and uploaded license/insurance documents. We do not process payments and so we do not collect any card or bank information.
Why we collect it
To connect homeowners with the right local pros, run the directory and messaging, prevent fraud, send transactional emails (and broadcasts you’ve asked to receive), and continuously improve the service. We do not sell your data, ever.
Who sees what
Pros see their public storefront, the messages homeowners send them, and reviews left on their profile. Homeowners see pro listings, message threads, and reviews. Your phone number stays private until you choose to share it in a message. Reviews you leave are public, but they are shown without your name.
Sub-processors
We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers — for our database, sign-in & file storage, hosting, transactional email, error monitoring, and product analytics — each governed by its own data-processing agreement. The counsel-reviewed version of this policy will list each provider by name. We add a payments processor only if and when we ever start handling money on the platform — today we do not.
Your controls
You can update your name, email, and phone from the Accountpage at any time, and you can delete your account entirely from the same page — that purges your auth row and cascades through your profile, messages, and reviews. Email privacy@werkza.com for data exports or anything else.
Children
Werkza is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children; tell us if a minor signed up and we'll delete it.
Cookies
Session cookies keep you signed in. Analytics cookies count anonymized usage. No third-party advertising cookies, ever.
Changes
We email you about material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you agree.
